Divided into two parts by the wonderful central Princess Street Park, the city splits into the Old Town with it’s cobbled streets and byways and the New Town shopping streets of Princess Street, George Street two streets running parallel to each other alongside Edinburgh Castle.

The Old Town features a wonderful maze of speciality stores and attractions running down from the Castle Gate down towards Hollyrood Palace. The new town on the other hand was designed to be both efficient and compact, and is a shoppers paradise.

To accomodate 13 million tourist visitors a year there are a great number of Bed and Breakfasts in Edinburgh competing with the established hotel trade.
