Ashcroft Farmhouse offers a good mix of quality accommodation in a tranquil countryside environment yet close to attractions of the big city. Edinburgh is 10 miles away, and easily reached by car, train, or bus which stops right outside (a 30 minute journey).
This is the heart of Scotland with many interesting towns and cities nearby. Stirling, Glasgow, and the shopping malls of Livingston are only a short distance away. Golfers will be particularly impressed with the number and variety of golf clubs in the area, the closest of which is the Marriott Dalmahoy Hotel and Country Club.
All six bedrooms at Ashcroft have been recently renovated. Accommodations include two family rooms (4 and 3), three twins and a double with Four Poster Bed. All have ensuite facilities, Tea and Coffee making, LCD flatscreen TVs and a DVD film library for guests. Wifi internet access is available from all rooms.
Ashcroft is rated 4 star by the Scottish Tourist Board, and 5 diamonds by the AA and RAC. High praise indeed, which is reflected in their guestbook.
The tariff is £35 – £40 per person per night inclusive of Full Scottish Breakfast. Please note that Ashcroft does not cater to children under 12 years old. 12-15 years sharing a family room are charged at £20 per night.
